The customer service here is so good I had to make a review! Also, the veggie egg rolls are bomb.

The food was mediocre, nothing special. You do get what you pay for. The reason I am rating this place 1 star is because of the vibe at this place. The owner (asian guy) of the restaurant was literally screaming at his employees right in-front of customers. He wasn't just talking loudly, he was actually screaming for an extended period of time. Needless to say, the whole vibe was pretty bad. I felt bad for the employees who had to tolerate that kind of abuse.
Other than that, the place looks old and outdated. Restroom had no soap and wasnt exactly clean.
I would not come back here again. -

This is my current favorite teriyaki bowl in LA. It's conveniently close to the 101 freeway too so I can pop by on my way home from work. This is a no frills place, but the service has always been warm.
The teriyaki bowls only come with the protein and rice. You'd have to get a large bowl to add vegetables for extra $. But it's worth it. I can't finish a large in one go, but that leaves leftovers that I get to enjoy the next day.
My go-to order is a large TERIYAKI BOWL COMBO with BEEF & CHICKEN, with the added vegetables. It's made to order. The meat and chicken are always cooked perfectly and I like their teriyaki sauce a lot. If you get your order to-go, they even give you extra sauce on the side. The vegetables don't have that gooey substance either.
There's an abundance of parking as Gold Yaki & Burger is located in a strip mall. -

I love mom & pop places. I really do. I always feel like the smaller the place, the yummier the food. Anyone else?!
I came in around dinner time and ordered the Teri Burger combo which btw was a STEAL at like $7 for a burger, heap of fries, and a drink. The sweet lady working here is the cutest thing ever! I'm assuming she's the owner, but I loved her.
The food came out rather quickly, and was delicious. The burger was juicy, but I love my teriyaki burgers drenched in sauce and this definitely wasn't. No worries though, because they put extra sauces on the tables. The fries were soooooooo good, crunchy with soft middles. And I guess I can't really review the coke but coke is coke and it was great. My boyfriend ordered the chicken teriyaki bowl, and the chicken portion was generous! He loved his food too. And his bowl was around $6, which is waaaaay cheaper than other places with a similar concept (usually around $10).
TLDR; loved it, sweet owner, def coming back. :) -

Mmmmm haven't had good teriyaki in a while and this place hit the spot! I ate quite a bit of my plate before snapping the photo. My apologies y'all I came in starving. The beef plate comes with a basic salad with yum sauce, orange slice and 2 gyozas. The gyoza was awesome crispy well cooked 7.5/10. The teriyaki beef and rice was 8/10. Pretty decent portion size as well. My food came out extremely fast and I would come back again for sure.
